The countdown continues to the Noakes Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race, the winter coastal classic.

The countdown continues to the great winter escape, the Noakes Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race which takes crews from Sydney Harbour, up the New South Wales coastline, across the border to southern Queensland before finishing off the iconic Surfers Paradise beachfront.

The 384-nautical-mile race is a demanding event requiring experienced helming skills, particularly in the hard running conditions experienced at this time of the year, first class sail handling and good tactical navigational decisions.

With 100 days until the fleet of yachts congregate in stunning Sydney Harbour, teams will be eagerly awaiting the release of the Notice of Race (NOR) which will coincide with entries opening in early May.

The Noakes Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race marks the first challenge of the six-race Audi Centre Sydney Blue Water Pointscore Series which culminates in the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race on Boxing Day each year.
