Ginger is a Swan 601 one design, the only one in Australia, and is the sistership to the successful Moneypenny, the current American IRC Champion.
The Sydney Gold Coast race will mark the boat’s Australian debut and it is hoped she will be joined by at least two other Swan 601s for this year’s Rolex Sydney Hobart. With a luxurious interior reflecting the Italian flair of the Ferragamo family, who own Swan yachts, it will be a very comfortable trip north on this one design cruiser racer.
Owner Leslie Green, who has an extensive yachting resume, will be joined by sailing master Gordon Maguire, Richard Allanson from North Sails and Katie Spithill who recently placed 2nd in the Harken Women’s International Match Racing Championships.
