Mr Kite

Mr Kite

Mr Kite, the smallest boat with a canting keel to compete in one of the CYCA’s long ocean races, was launched at last year’s Hamilton Island Race Week by owners Andrew Buckland and Andrew Hunn. This radical carbon fibre 'mini Volvo 70' is best suited to less than 10 and above 16 knots and for this race, Buckland, an experienced ocean and 18 foot skiff sailor, and Hunn, a national champion in the J24 and Sharpie Class, have the DK46s Quantum Racing and Shogun, and Wedgetail, in their sights.
