Secret Men's Business #1

Secret Men's Business #1

Secret Mens Business #1 was designed by Iain Murray and built in 1996 by Bolton Yachts in Adelaide for original owner Geoff Boettcher.  It competed up and down the east and south coast of Australia with its best result being a third in division in the 2003 Rolex Sydney Hobart.  SMB was overhauled in 2002 with a new MBD keel and swept spreader carbon rig with short footed headsails and optimised again in 2003 for IRC racing.  A 1.5m bow pole had also been added to the boat.

The current owners bought the boat in November 2007 and had strong finishes throughout the 2007-08 sailing season including: 2nd in Division 1 of Coffs Harbour Series and 2nd in IRC and 1st PHS is the Bird Island Race.  SMB also sailed in the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race and the 2008 Audi Sydney Offshore Newcastle race.
