UBS Wild Thing

UBS Wild Thing

CYCA Immediate Past Commodore Geoff Lavis has extensively campaigned his Inglis/Murray 50 UBS Wild Thing including two Rolex Sydney Hobarts, seven Sydney Gold Coast races, three Mooloolaba races, one Sydney Southport, four Hamilton Island race weeks, one Brisbane to Osaka and one Melbourne to Osaka race, for which this 15 year old timber hulled boat, also know as the ‘flying toothpick’ still holds the race record.

She is a well maintained and competitive boat and is still very fast and very wet off the breeze.  UBS Wild Thing picked up first overall on PHS in 2006 Audi Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race, third in the 2007 race and third in division at 2006 Hamilton Island Race Week and sixth in 2007.
