- AFR Midnight Rambler
AFR Midnight Rambler
The duo of Ed Psaltis (skipper) and Bob Thomas (navigator) have sailed together for over 18 years across six boats ranging in size from 30-40ft. AFR Midnight Rambler has been optimised for IRC and achieved multiple divisional wins including a well deserved Blue Water Pointscore Championship in 2006/07 and Short Ocean Point Score champions in the same season. The owners, the 2006/2007 CYCA Ocean Racers of the Year, have won every offshore race on the east coast including the Rolex Sydney Hobart, the Lord Howe Island Race twice, the Sydney Mooloolaba Race (twice) and has won their division three times in Audi Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race. One of the duo’s more memorable wins is their overall win in the 1998 Sydney Hobart Yacht Race. The experienced duo and their regular crew are looking to build on their successes over the past two seasons.
