Copernicus was built by Dillon Boatworks in Taree and designed by Radford Yachts and launched in January 2008.  She competed in most offshore races in her first season finishing with a 1st in the CYCA’s Tasman Pointscore series and having competed in Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race (finishing 11th in IRC Division 3), finished 22nd IRC overall in Audi Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race 2008 and placed 3rd in PHS Division of Hempel Gosford Lord Howe Island 2008.  Copernicus also competed in Audi Hamilton Island Race Week. Owner Greg Zyner’s sailing highlights include 2nd in Division in the 2007 Rolex Sydney Hobart Race and 1st in Division Pittwater to Coffs Harbour 2007 with his previous boat, Morna.
