Papillon

Papillon is one of the successful Archambault designs that made its way to Australia three years ago. Phil Molony has been ocean racing Papillon for three seasons since she made her debut in the 2010 Rolex Sydney Hobart.  In last year’s Rolex Sydney Hobart, she finished 31st overall and ninth in Division 3, following on from her 42nd overall and third in Division 3 in the 2011 race.  Molony finished 15th in the CYCA’s Blue Water Pointscore Series, with a best result of eighth in the Flinders Islet Race.  Papillon sailed to 33rd overall in last year’s Sydney Gold Coast race.  With his previous Papillon, also an Archambault 40, Molony was second in the CYCA’s 2008-09 Tasman Pointscore Series, an annual offshore series hosted by the Club.
