She's The Culprit

She’s the Culprit is an Inglis 39 owned by a syndicate of four mates from Lake Macquarie and Newcastle that have sailed thousands of sea miles together. The boat was originally built in 1994 by Hart Marine and launched as Top Cat for the Melbourne Osaka Yacht Race.  She then raced in Tasmania under the name of 42 South before being sold to Todd Leary who changed her name to She’s The Culprit, campaigned her on all the long distance races out of Bellerive Yacht Club and competed in three Rolex Sydney Hobart races (2008-2010).

Her first major race for the current owners was the 2012 Pittwater to Coffs race where she achieved a win in her division (PHS Div 2) and then followed this up with a PHS Division win in last year’s Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race. She’s The Culprit also placed second in last year’s LMYC offshore pointscore and second in the NCYC offshore pointscore. She’s the Culprit has quickly earned a local reputation of being a very social boat and her crew of experienced and inexperienced offshore sailors are looking forward to both the race north and are looking forward to defending the title from last year’s race.
