Celebrations aplenty as masses finish overnight.
It was a busy evening and early morning with 15 crews making their way in to the Southport Yacht Club. With softening breeze late last night progress was slowed but not stopped. The yacht club and marina are abuzz with activity as crew pack up their yachts and celebrate their journey with some cold beverages and a hot meal.
There are now only seven entrants left on the race course who are making slow but steady progress with some light westerly breeze morning breeze. This is however predicted to build and turn to the south during the day providing another afternoon of fast and enjoyable sailing up the coast.
With divisional and overall placings looking more and more certain as time goes on, crews will be looking forward to celebrations and receiving their respective trophies at the official Noakes Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race prize giving held at the Southport Yacht Club, today at 1300hrs.
