This is a relatively new Sydney 36CR for Dennis Cooper who has been a regular participant in the northern races with this previous Sydney 36 by the same name. Since taking ownership of the new Amante in October last year, Cooper has used the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia’s Short Ocean Pointscore and Ocean Pointscore series to “learn how to make the boat go” and again looking forward to an open stretch of water. Finished second in division in the Audi Sydney Southport in March and won the CYCA’s SOPS Autumn Pointscore Series on PHS.
