Azzurro is a 14m timber sloop built to the old IOR rule. She was designed by Bruce Clark and built in New Zealand in 1985. Her owners and crew hail from Sydney Amateur Sailing Club at Mosman in Sydney. Azzurro has been a regular campaigner in the Sydney Gold Coast, best result a third in PHS, and is a two-time former PHS winner of the Gosford - Lord Howe Island Race. The boat has also contested the Sydney Hobart, Auckland to Noumea and Auckland to Osaka races under a previous owner.
