Owned by Alison and Anthony Pickering and launched in late 2001, Love Byte finished well in its first long offshore race, the 2002 Pittwater to Coffs Race, and repeated the effort with a second in division in 2004. She is a regular competitor on Sydney Harbour and has contested many east coast races over the years. Love Byte has a new crew which is keen and ready to race in the 2007 Audi Sydney Gold Coast.
