UBS Wild Thing

UBS Wild Thing

CYCA Past Commodore Geoff Lavis has extensively campaigned his Inglis/Murray 50 UBS Wild Thing including two Rolex Sydney Hobarts, ten Sydney Gold Coast races, three Mooloolaba races, four Hamilton Island race weeks, one Brisbane to Osaka and one Melbourne to Osaka race, for which this 17 year old timber hulled boat, also know as the ‘flying toothpick’, still holds the race record. She is a well maintained and competitive boat and is still very fast and very wet off the breeze. UBS Wild Thing has given her owner some exhilarating rides including a first overall in PHS in 2006 Audi Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race, third in 2007 and second in the 2009 race. She has also achieved a third in division at 2006 Hamilton Island Race Week and sixth in 2007.
