Lahana

Lahana

Lahana is a fixed keel water ballasted 98ft yacht, built in 2003 in New Zealand. She was the most modern yacht of her time and originally owned by Stewart Thwaites who variously named her Zana and Konica Minolta, before Peter Millard and his brother-in-law purchased her in 2009. The duo is committed to improving her performance, which showed up in the results in 2011 Rolex Sydney Hobart, where she finished third on line, sixth overall, second in IRC Division 1 and fourth in ORCi Division 1 and in the 2012 Cabbage Tree Island Race when she finished second on line to Wild Oats XI and a good third overall.

In last year’s Rolex Sydney Hobart, Lahana finished third on line, eighth overall, fifth in IRC Division 0, and 7th in ORCi Division 1. In 2011, Lahana claimed line honours in the Brisbane to Gladstone and was declared the overall winner of the Club Marine Brisbane to Keppel Tropical Island Yacht Race.
