Kioni

Kioni

Kioni was launched in 2001 by her first owner in full survey. She was both chartered and raced extensively including participation in a number of Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Races.

In 2012 she changed hands, was renamed Mango Groove and initially raced before falling into a state of serious disrepair.

In mid-2018 she was purchased by a syndicate of experienced yachtsmen from Sydney. After being towed to the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club slipway, the syndicate immediately began a complete refit including a new engine, paint, rig, sails, interior and replacement of all components including new instrumentation.

She has been returned to her original name Kioni - and now sports white hull and topsides in preference to her previous blue.

Her racing program this year will include Noakes Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race and Audi Centre Sydney Blue Water Pointscore series, topping it all off with the 75th Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.
