Great Xpectations

Great Xpectations

Taking its designer and design into consideration when named, Great Xpectations was the first of a new breed of X-Yachts to come into Australia when Rod Wills took delivery in December 2003. He returns to the Gold Coast Race after a seven year hiatus and last competed in 2007, finishing seventh overall under PHS. Otherwise, Wills has been kept busy with this yacht, competing in everything from the Pittwater Coffs and Gosford Lord Howe Island races, the Sydney Harbour Regatta and the CYCA’s OPS series, where he finished fourth overall in IRC, third overall in ORCi and won PHS in the 2014/2015 series – so  the yacht is living up to its name.
